We're pleased to officially present Discord Todd, our bot that delivers your miner health notifications directly to a shared Discord channel or private DM!

Getting Started

To receive alerts via Discord, you'll first need to re-configure your Foreman triggers.  By default, all notifications are sent to your email address.

Default notification destination.

Notifications can be sent to any combination of the following:

  • Email
  • Discord
  • Telegram
Notification destination changed to Discord.

You'll also need to fetch your Foreman API credentials.  Those can be found here:

API information found under 'My Account' in Foreman.

Receiving Alerts via Direct Message

Once your triggers are configured to send alerts to Discord, join our Discord server. While you're there, feel free to introduce yourself to our community!

On our server, you'll see Discord Todd.  He's always online:

Discord Todd is always around.

To begin the setup process, in a private message, send him fm!help:

A typical fm!help command.

You'll need to register your Discord account with Todd.  To do that, send: fm!start

A typical fm!start response.

Send fm!register and enter in your client ID and API key that you obtained in the Getting Started steps above.  As an example, assuming a client ID of 1024 and an API key of 39bffdea-2169-46eb-9407-adf8ba678c3f, I'd enter fm!register 1024 39bffdea-2169-46eb-9407-adf8ba678c3f.

Successful registration.

From here on out, depending on the triggers created in Foreman, Todd will let you know when things happen:

Discord Todd notifications.

To stop the Discord alerting, send him an fm!forget.
