This guide is supplemental to the existing Power articles. While we roll out our new Power UI, you may toggle over to the "Classic View" which you're already familiar with.
Note: Any actions you take in either Classic View or the new Command Center/Power Controls will appear in both. You're just selecting your preferred interface — the actions themselves stay the same.

Navigation
From the left hand menu, select Power -> Classic View.
Dashboard Tiles
Regardless of your tab choice, we show three dashboard tiles providing further insight to your current power data for your operation.
-
Available Miners
This tile shows the percentage of miners currently available for curtailment. The numerator counts only active miners that are healthy, have reported stats within the last 5 minutes, are online in Pickaxe, and support power mode commands. The denominator includes all active miners in Foreman—excluding any that are disabled. This metric helps you quickly assess how much of your fleet is ready for automated control. -
Power Draw
This tile shows the estimated total power draw of all active, online miners. Foreman prioritizes data sources in the following order: smart PDU readings (most accurate), miner-reported values (common with newer models or third-party firmware), custom values set in the miner details page, and finally, manufacturer nameplate values as a fallback. While smart PDUs offer the most reliable readings, miner-reported or nameplate values can vary by 5–20%, so small discrepancies are expected. Foreman uses real-time site telemetry for precise targeting during curtailments. -
Power Cost
This tile displays an estimated 24-hour power cost based on the wattage values assigned to your miners and the power price configured in your settings. By default, Foreman uses manufacturer nameplate specs to calculate usage, but you can customize these values per miner for more accurate estimates. Adjustments can be made in the Miner Details page as needed.
Power Controls
When navigating to the Classic View, you'll land on the Power Controls tab—your central hub for managing power usage across your mining operation. Here, you can create new power control runs, view existing schedules, and take action to optimize energy consumption in real time or in advance. Power Controls are essential for reducing operational costs, managing infrastructure load, and responding to scheduled or emergency curtailment requirements.
If you're enrolled in a Demand Response program or are subject to any mandatory curtailments, please contact us to learn how we can fully automate your site’s participation—ensuring it powers down and ramps back up with zero manual effort!
-
Single Run
-
To power down some or all of the miners in your facility, use a single-run power control job. This tool allows you to initiate a power control immediately or schedule it for a specific time in the future.

Add New (Power Control)
- To power down and back up miners consistently based on your operational schedule, set up a recurring power control run.
- Start by clicking 'Add New' and entering your job specifications as you would for a single run.
- Then toggle the 'Make Recurring' option to configure the days and start times you want the job to run. The scheduled times follow your Foreman-configured time zone, which can be updated in the 'My Account' page. Once saved, your recurring schedule will appear under the 'Power Controls' section, and you can pause it anytime using the 'Actions' button. For advanced automation using real-time or day-ahead market pricing data (Peak Avoidance), contact us for more information.
-
Power Controls Data table
- The data table displays all executed and scheduled power control jobs—both single-run and recurring—including details such as target miners, timing, frequency, status, and reason for execution. After a job has run to completion, it will appear in your History tab.

Dispatches
Note: Dispatches are a premium feature, to add Dispatches to your Foreman suite, reach out to the Customer Success team for next steps!
A Dispatch in Foreman is a scheduled event used to intelligently control power usage across your mining operation. Dispatches are especially useful for cost-saving strategies like Peak Avoidance, where miners are powered down during high electricity pricing periods, or for meeting Demand Response requirements by automatically curtailing power in response to utility signals. By configuring dispatches, you can reduce operational costs, participate in energy markets, or comply with external curtailment obligations—without needing manual intervention. Navigate to the Dispatches tab to create new dispatches or manage existing ones.
-
Add New (Dispatch)
- To create a new dispatch, start by selecting a dispatch type:
-
Peak Avoidance – Powers down miners based on a predefined strike price or adjusts automatically according to market conditions. Ideal for operations using Demand Response services to avoid high energy costs.
-
Demand Response – Shuts down all miners and infrastructure upon receiving a signal from a power partner.
-
Target – Powers down a specific group of miners within a defined timeframe.
-
External – Functions like the Target dispatch but is triggered externally and logged as such.
-
- After selecting a dispatch type, specify the start time and end time, then click save to finalize the dispatch.

Committments
Note: Commitments are only supported for a subset of our power partners and power programs. If you don't have access to Commitments but think it would help your team accomplish their goals, please contact your customer success rep to discuss.
A Commitment refers to a user-defined agreement to manage power usage within specific parameters as dictated by a program or contract. You can set full or partial power commitments and adjust power usage by reducing or adjusting amounts. Multiple commitments can be created for the same program, but their start and end dates must not overlap. These commitments help ensure compliance with the terms of awarded contracts or bids.

Add New (Commitment)
-
This button allows you to add a new commitment, to do so, add in the following data:
- Program ID - your unique identifier
- Program Name - unique name of this specific commitment
- Target Control - choose one of the following:
- Reduce Wattage To - amount to reduce the wattage to
- Reduce Wattage By - amount to reduce the wattage by
- All Target Miners - all miners will be adjusted the same amount
- Ramp Interval - choose with one of the following:
- Use System Settings - based on your setting set here /dashboard/company-edit/#curtailment
- Custom - you'll be given the options to:
- Ramp Down ## sec
- Ramp Up ## sec
- Start Date / Time - optional
- End Date / Time - optional

History
The History tab displays past events that have occurred within the Power section of Foreman, including details about each action and the reason it was executed. Note: Dispatch history only shows up on the Dispatches data table, but the power controls run in response to a dispatch will appear in the History table.

Export
- Clicking export will start a CSV download of the entries currently visible in your view.
-
Revert
- Each entry includes an Actions menu that allows you to revert the effects of that specific event—for example, powering miners down if the original action was to power them up.
