500 Miner Limit in filters - Increase pls!

tgunter

For IP list, MAC list, and serial list filters there has always been a limit of 500 miners. Often we have to batch jobs 2x-3x to complete tasks in foreman. An increase to 1000-2000 would make our lives a lot easier.

Pretty common request at our company. I suspect others would also appreciate this.

Allowing .csv and .txt files to be used as filters could also be useful.

You can apply a filter multiple times.
If you have 1,600 MACs, you can apply the mac filter 4 times.
    500MACs + 500MACs +500MACs + 100MACS

This will give you a table on the “Miners” page with all 1,600 miners which you can bulk edit. All though it's still more effort than you'd probably like, it will get the job done quicker then repeating bulk edit actions 4 times over.

To the Foreman staff who read these, can you just have it check the number of rows and apply the filter x number of times before refreshing the page?
    Something like ApplyMultiFilterCount = math.ceil(rowsInFilter / 500)

Yeah I agree with Cody the annoying part is reloading the menu 3-4 times.

Hi all. I believe that restriction has mostly to do with the way those filters are stored, but let me check into this one and get back to you. This seems like something we could reasonably make a lot easier for you with not a lot of effort.
