Customizing your inventory settings in Foreman allows you to better organize, track, and manage components like control boards, fans, and power supplies. From the Settings menu, you can define inventory types, add custom fields for better visibility, and set up low inventory notifications to stay ahead of shortages.
This guide walks you through each step to tailor your inventory management setup to match your operation’s needs.
On the Dashboard, click the guy with the tie icon (upper right corner) and choose Settings
Click the Inventory tile on the settings page.
- Click Inventory Types to add in inventory types such as control boards, fans, cables, power supply, etc.
- Click Inventory Fields to add custom fields to the inventory fields that show in the inventory list on the inventory page. Some examples include the last order date, the name of the supplier, or even the contact info of the supplier.
- You can also set up a low inventory notification within the inventory settings page, then click Save to keep your settings.
