Welcome To The Foreman Knowledge Base

2026-08-19 - Pickaxe 3.275.0

What's new

šŸ  Pickaxe web homepage

  • Pickaxe now exposes a built-in web homepage at http://localhost:8080 on the machine running Pickaxe, giving you an at-a-glance view of what the local instance is doing.

šŸ“Š Pickaxe observability stack (opt-in)

  • An optional Prometheus + Grafana bundle is now available for Pickaxe, downloadable directly from the Pickaxe homepage.
  • A pre-built Foreman dashboard provides real-time visibility into:
    • Backend/dashboard connectivity health
    • Miner scan and stats-collection performance
    • Command execution timing and success rates
    • Thread pool and queue health
    • JVM heap headroom

šŸ”Œ New: Foreman RTAC integration

  • A new integration is available for delivering Foreman curtailment signals to an RTAC via DNP3, using Foreman's standard published point map (site load, pre-event load, curtailed load, set point, load reduction).

Miner support improvements

  • Avalon: Reworked API handling with proper Avalon Q support and better coverage of home / hydro-HA (v3) models — including sleep/wake, worklevel overclock, power-limit configuration, and pool changes.
  • Antminer sleep detection: Fixed a bug where sleeping miners on newer models were being reported as idle.
  • Braiins: New uninstall action lets you remove Braiins OS remotely from Foreman.
  • Braiins pool changes: Fixed a case where blank pool slots from the dashboard caused pool-change failures.
  • Volcminer: Fixed issues with Volcminer scans.
