How To: Create A Custom Ticket Field

Custom ticket fields allow you to tailor your Tickets page to better fit your operation’s needs. In this article, you’ll learn how to create new custom fields, choose the appropriate field type, and make them available for use when creating or editing tickets. Whether you're adding simple text inputs or predefined dropdowns, custom fields help capture the exact information your team needs.

  1. From the top right banner, click the person icon to open the menu, then click Settings.Screenshot 2025-05-21 at 10.08.07 AM.png

  2. Then we will go to the Tickets tab to open those specific settings.Screenshot 2025-05-21 at 10.09.25 AM.png

  3. Navigate to the Ticket Fields section and click on the Add Field button.

  4. Complete the following fields to create your custom field:

    1. Field Type – select the type of field you want from the dropdown: Date, Date and Time, Text, Number, or Choice (single select).

    2. Field Name – enter the label that will be displayed for this custom field.

    3. If you choose Choice, additional options will appear allowing you to add, remove, and reorder multiple selectable values.

      • Click Add Choice and type in each option. Repeat this step to include all relevant choices for the field.

     

  5. Finally, use the toggle to control whether this custom field should be visible to your sub-clients.

  6. Then click Save to keep your custom field(s).

  9. Within the bottom of this field, you'll see your newly added custom fields with the corresponding title and type accepted as you've created them, in this example we created a number custom field and a choice selection.custom.gif

 

 

Note: You can add your new custom fields to an existing ticket by clicking on edit within the existing ticket on the Tickets page.
